For millions of years we survived in wild nature. At all times, we had to be on guard or place ourselves in protected environments. And our primal brain has held onto this behavior and response.
Known as the stress response, many of us are aware of the fight or flight reflex which keeps our body alert to danger. Even to this day, when we are not in a protected and secure environment – when we are in a vulnerable position – our bodies respond accordingly.
This reflex is just that – a reflex. You cannot control it. Even though you “know” you aren’t in danger, your body has not adapted to the modern world. It affects you on a subtle energy level but has a tremendous impact!
