PARENTS: As we are all committed to the health of our children, we hope that you will welcome the candy fairy into your Halloween tradition. She will need a little help from you. Below is a letter from the candy fairy for your kids.
Hi everyone! I am the Candy Fairy and I need your help.
You see, I have thousands of little sprites that I have to feed throughout the harsh winter months. Unfortunately, it is hard to forage through the snow and ice to find food. Luckily, I have a precious magical ability. I can change any type of candy or junk food into a healthy fruit or vegetable.
That means Halloween is a blessing for me and my family if I have YOUR help. This is REALLY important since most kids don’t even know about me.
So, here is how you can help me:
On Halloween, go out and have fun trick-or treating. Collect lots of fun treats. Then, if you are ever so kind, gather all of those treats into a bag and leave them on your front porch. During the night, while everyone is asleep, my sprites and I will come out and collect all of the treats. In exchange for your kindness and generosity, we will leave behind a special gift for you.
But wait… the magic that allows me to turn candy and junk food into fruits and vegetables for my little sprites ONLY works if the person who gave them to me followed the directions of their adult. So, if you decide to keep any for yourself, you can only keep the amount your adult says you can … otherwise we can’t use the treats.
