Christopher Conway is a Licensed Master Social Worker who believes in improving the social and emotional well-being of the children and adolescents he serves. Christopher’s goal is to increase the self-esteem of young people and empower them to reach their full potential. He believes that forming a trusting and supportive clinical relationship is crucial to success.
Christopher’s greatest strength as a professional social worker is being able to communicate understanding, warmth, respect, interest, and hope to his clients. Through his experiences and background in the social work profession, Christopher has developed the ability to make comprehensive assessments and deliver appropriate and effective interventions for the children and families he serves. He believes that a positive support system in life of a child significantly increases their ability to meet individual goals and personal growth.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in Social Work at Stony Brook University, Christopher decided that he would like to continue his education in Social Worker to better serve those he works with. During the completion of his Master of Social Work degree at Stony Brook University, he had the ability to complete a year-long internship as school social worker at the South Huntington School District. Following the completion of his Master of Social Work degree, Christopher began working with children and adolescents diagnosed with severe emotional disturbances and developmental disabilities placed under the care of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. These professional experiences allowed him to discover his passion for working with children and the people who have the greatest impact on their lives.
