Danielle Zanzarov grew up like most people. Growing up, she had McDonald’s and Carvel once a week, she indulged in wonderful treats for each holiday and gathering, and she spent plenty of time playing video games and watching after-school specials. She was also very sick as a kid. Asthma and ear infections ruined many of her days. She spent plenty of time in the doctor’s office and even the hospital. Everyone assumed there wasn’t anything else to do but make use of inhalers and avoid running.
When she went away to college, she stocked up at Costco on coffee, Twizzlers, macaroni and cheese, and fruit snacks just like many of her peers. Several months in to her college experience though, her health began to get worse. It wasn’t just the chronic sinus infections and the added 20 pounds, it was the constant nausea and stomach pain. She took another trip to the doctor. He wrote her a prescription and sent her away to take the prescription for the remainder of her life. “Wow,” she thought to herself, “for the rest of my life? Isn’t there something else I could do?” And so, her journey began.
A busy college student carrying a full time load of classes and 4 different jobs, she literally did not have time to be sick. She began to read, learn, explore and investigate health and nutrition. Little by little, she began to make small changes to her lifestyle and her choices. No, she did not get to where she is today overnight, but she made changes one step at a time and she began feeling better.
The more she studied and learned, the easier it became to make change and the more it became a passion of hers to help everyone Get Naturally Healthy. Today she is the owner of Get Naturally Healthy and Founder of South Bay Wellness Center in Sayville, NY.
